Description
If you wish to have an aftermarket remap installed on your newer BMW models, you will require this BMW ECU Unlocking Service. The process will take 1-2 weeks.
Initial Unlock or ECU Removal:
To initiate the unlocking process, you have two options:
- Remote Unlocking: Send your DME to Xatrix for the initial unlock.
- In-Person Service: Visit our workshop at Xatrix for the ECU to be removed.
Software Updates:
Once your DME is unlocked, it's important to keep in mind the following:

Remote Software Updates: Please disable Over-The-Air (OTA) updates on your own, as any official update may remove our unlock completely.

Flashing Options: You can perform flashing using Femto OBD Flasher Beta (purchased separately). If you wish to use other flashers with our unlock, kindly contact their developers to add compatibility.

OBD Writing: Our unlock supports writing in the map (calibration/swfk) area via OBD.

In-Lab Flashing: We can perform flashing in the asw (software/swfl) area only while your DME is at our labs, upon your request.

Petrol Engines: For petrol engines, you have the option to use MGFlasher, MHD, or Bm3 app (purchased separately) for flashing. As with OTA updates, remember to disable them to safeguard our unlock.

V8 Engines: Please note that V8 engines are equipped with 2 ECUs.
